SHOP, SAVE, and SUPPORT local food security

Back to School food Drive: SHOP, SAVE, and SUPPORT local food security during Hunger Action Month.

We have big goals.

NH Hunger Solutions has been tracking data on hunger in New Hampshire and the data shows us that our state has a large number of households that do not have sufficient food.

Grocery store prices are rising and more people are finding it difficult to afford groceries, faced with the impossible choice of paying rent or putting food on the table.

Food assistance programs like SNAP and food purchasing for pantries have been significantly cut or eliminated, increasing the need to rally together and support local food security.

It is massively important that our neighbors have access to the nutritious foods needed in order to feel well and be healthy.

Data shows that 39% of children in New Hampshire live in households that reported having insufficient food.

In honor of Hunger Action Month, we're launching a Back to School Food Drive kicking off September 1st. We have an ambitious goal to collect 1,000 donated grocery items from our Sweet Beet Customers, like you!

You will make this possible!! There are two ways to participate:

  • Shop easily on our online store to purchase full cases for the food drive

  • Come into Sweet Beet Market and get 10% off your entire purchase when you buy three or more Food Drive items.

These items will help stock our Community FREEdge for many months to come!!

Together we will help send more children to school with enough nourishing food.

Kearsarge Food Hub
