Kitchen Manager
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the cafe’s annual plan and budget. They oversee kitchen operations, prepare or coordinate the preparation of food, manage kitchen personnel, and spearhead creating menus and offerings in alignment with customer preferences and KFH’s mission.
This means prioritizing locally produced, seasonal ingredients as well as preparing meals that are nutritious, creative, and delicious. The ideal candidate for this position is both a team player and self-directed worker who is passionate about food and local food system work.
Full time position
Salary Range: $45,000 - $52,000 (depending on experience)

Kitchen Crew Member
Sweet Beet Kitchen Crew Members are responsible for the end-to-end preparation of high-quality meals while maintaining a safe, efficient, and sanitary kitchen environment. This role combines the duties of a prep cook, line cook, and a dishwasher to ensure smooth operations, especially during high-traffic periods.
As a Sweet Beet Kitchen Crew Member, you are the vital link between our local fields and our community’s table. By transforming raw, seasonal ingredients into high-quality meals, you directly fulfill the Kearsarge Food Hub’s mission to honor our farmers and nourish our neighbors!
Part time position
Pay: $14-$16/hour + tips (depending on experience)

Market Clerk / Cashier
The Market Clerk / Cashier facilitates the checkout process at Sweet Beet Market + Cafe. They operate the register, take orders, accept payments and deliver receipts, bag groceries, and assist customers. This position also involves stocking shelves, keeping inventory organized, and maintaining a clean and presentable store.
Sweet Beet Market + Cafe thrive on community engagement and product storytelling. Every employee must be eager to learn our producers' unique stories, master the details of our local brands, and build genuine relationships with our regular customers. Connecting people to the source of their food is the heart of what we do!
Part time position
Pay: $12-$15/hour + tips (depending on experience)

The Impact of KFH Services
Garden Education Coordinator
The Garden Education Coordinator will work closely with the Garden Education Manager to develop and implement farm and garden educational programming for grades K-12 and beyond.
The Garden Education Coordinator will also assist in the maintenance of multiple off-site gardens, including weeding, watering, planting, building beds, and more.
The ideal candidate is energetic, dynamic, and detail-oriented with a strong understanding of both sustainable agriculture techniques and outdoor education.
Part-time position (25-30 hrs/wk)
Salary Range: $18-22/hr (depending on experience)
