Farmer Resources

Part of our mission as a Food Hub is to support regenerative agriculture by connecting farmers within our local network to important resources, information and organizations. As such, our aim is to increase farm viability by:

  • Connecting growers to supportive organizations and helpful resources.
  • Highlighting funding opportunities for agricultural projects.
  • Offering up-to-date information on relevant policies and legislation.

Unh Cooperative extension

We can't say enough good things about this organization and the network it has created throughout the Granite State. The Cooperative Extension has been an integral part of our farm education, as it provides a wealth of knowledge through a host of outlets and experts pertaining to all-things New Hampshire agriculture, from cultivating crops to record-keeping to drafting a business plan. You have questions, they have answers.

NH Food Alliance

The NH Food Alliance is a network coordinated by the UNH Sustainability Institute. They aim to "influence and shape the future of our emerging local food economy to build a food system that works for all in New Hampshire: people, businesses, communities, and the environment."

national sustainable agriculture coalition

The National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition is a terrific resource for staying up to date and making sense of current food policy and legislation, including the most recent food safety reform, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

Food Solutions New England

This is a UNH Sustainability Institute offshoot that operates under the specific vision of food security within our region through transforming our food system. Their primary initiative, 50/60, suggests that New England can produce 50% of the food it consumes by the year 2060.

Merrimack county conservation district

Our local conservation district is incredibly supportive of local agriculture, promoting responsible land and resource use while providing information and tools to the local network. They connect farmers with funding opportunities, equipment, and knowledge about best practices through the lens of conservation.
